Job Title: Registered Nurse PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Traveler

Schedule: 3 Days per Week | Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (12-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience Required: ICU & PACU experience in Level I or II Trauma settings; Pediatric and Inpatient PACU experience preferred
Certifications: NIH Stroke Certification required

Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced PACU Registered Nurse (Traveler) to provide high-quality, post-anesthesia care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will bring advanced critical care expertise, with a strong background in ICU and PACU settings-particularly in trauma-level hospitals and pediatric recovery.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, assess, and monitor individualized patient care plans during the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
Continuously observe and document patient condition, including vital signs and neurologic status, and escalate concerns appropriately.
Serve as a liaison and primary care coordinator across disciplines to ensure comprehensive and seamless recovery care.
Accurately interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team to support safe and efficient transitions of care.
Active RN license (state-specific or compact license as required).
Minimum of 1 2 years of recent ICU and PACU experience in a Level I or II trauma facility.
Experience with pediatric PACU patients and inpatient PACU care is highly preferred.
Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a high-acuity environment.
